Founded in 2009 by collector Regina Pinho de Almeida, ICCo is part of a select group of private institutions that support art in Brazil. The Institute is a Public Interest Civil Society Organization (OSCIP) which is maintained by different resources, such as donations, sponsorships and culture incentive laws.
ICCo’s mission is to expand the appreciation and understanding of the value of contemporary art.
ICCo believes in art as being a key transformative element in contemporary society. ICCo advocates a greater presence of private enterprises for promoting culture and filling in the many gaps in Brazil’s art system.
Strategies for Action
