2013 ICCo/Videobrasil Award

In partnership with Cultural Association Videobrasil, ICCo offers a Grant every two years  to participating artists of the SESC_Videobrasil Contemporary Art Festival. In 2013, during the 18th edition of the festival, artist Virginia Medeiros was awarded a two-month residency grant at Residency Unlimited (RU) in New York.
Competing for the award were artists enrolled through Videobrasil em Contexto, that were participating in the competitive exhibition. The award promotes opportunities for artists and scholars to explore connections and build exchanges with other artists, institutions and communities in Brazil and worldwide. Thus reflecting ICCo’s important mission of internationalization, which allows artists to exchange through partnerships with other institutions – and whose tasks in the project are the production and organization of the residency program and the monitoring of the artist before, during and after their trip.
