Tadeu Chiarelli, the museum\u2019s director at the time, invited Carlito Carvalhosa to occupy its original annex with an artistic intervention for the first time in the building\u2019s history.<br \/>\nThe site-specific installation \u2018Sala de Espera\u2019 [Waiting Room] presented 70 eucalyptus logs that were once used in the power grid, arranged in various directions, as counterpoints to the 24 modernist pillars that are part of the building\u2019s stucture. Produced by ICCo, the installation recovered, according to Tadeu Chiarelli, \u201cthe best of Niemeyer\u201d.<br \/>\nWorking together with MAC USP meets one of the ICCo\u2019s missions: partnering with institutions inside and outside of Brazil.
